Skin Booster REJURAN®

REJURAN®, How Much Pain and Bumps Are There?

There may be a stinging sensation during injection and bumps that last about 1–3 days, but these can be adequately managed with numbing cream and other measures.

Does REJURAN® hurt because it’s injected all over the face?

Due to the nature of the procedure, which involves dense injections across the entire face, some stinging pain is expected. However, applying numbing cream 30 minutes before the procedure can reduce the discomfort to a tolerable level for most people. REJURAN® requires small amounts to be injected at regular intervals into the dermal layer for even results, so the number of injection points is relatively high. During consultations, we often hear the question, "Does it hurt a lot?" In most cases, the discomfort can be minimized by adjusting the anesthesia and the speed of the procedure.

The perception of pain varies by area. If you are sensitive to pain, please let us know during the pre-procedure consultation so we can adjust the anesthesia time or use nerve block injections as needed.

How many days does it take for REJURAN® bumps to go down?

The bumps (raised marks) that appear immediately after injection generally subside within 1–3 days. This is a natural process as the product is gradually absorbed into the dermis, so there is no need to worry.

However, for those with thin or dry skin, absorption may be slower, and fine marks may remain for up to about a week. Trying to spread the bumps by rubbing or pressing them with your hands can actually cause irritation, so it is advisable to wait for natural absorption.

Can bruising or swelling occur after REJURAN®?

Yes, because it is an injection procedure, minor bruising and mild swelling may occur in some areas. In particular, areas with many blood vessels and thin skin, such as the under-eye area, have a relatively higher frequency of bruising.

Bruising generally fades within 5–7 days, changing from red to purple to yellow before disappearing naturally. If you are prone to bruising or are taking medications that affect blood circulation, such as aspirin, letting us know before the procedure can help reduce bruising.

Are there ways to reduce REJURAN® pain?

The most basic method is applying numbing cream for a sufficient time before the procedure, which alone can significantly reduce pain. Applying a cold compress immediately after the procedure can also help soothe stinging and swelling.

The injection technique also affects pain. At Heal House, we adjust the injection depth and speed according to your skin condition and pain sensitivity, and if needed, we use pain-distraction methods such as vibration to reduce discomfort. If you are particularly concerned about pain, please let us know beforehand so we can proceed with a method that suits you.

When should I get REJURAN® before an important event?

If you have an important event such as a wedding or photoshoot, it is safe to receive the procedure at least 2 weeks in advance. This is because while bumps subside within a few days, bruising, if it occurs, may take about a week to fully fade.

If your schedule allows, having the procedure 3–4 weeks before the event is more ideal. This not only gives enough time for any marks to disappear but also allows the improvement in skin texture and glow to take effect. Recovery speed varies by individual, so if you have a fixed schedule, please let us know the date during your consultation, and we will calculate backward to recommend an appropriate treatment date.
