Dr. Hanmi Jung, a dermatologist at Heal House, appeared as a skin specialist on the 'Life Guide' segment of KBS's 'Good Morning Korea' last July. The broadcast covered how to protect the skin from the strengthening summer UV rays, examining everyday methods such as parasols, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Dr. Hanmi Jung provided expert advice on sunscreen.

Sunscreen is familiar but often misunderstood—how should it be used? Although sunscreen is a product used daily, there is much confusion about which product to choose, how much to apply, and how to apply it. Dr. Hanmi Jung, as a dermatologist and also as a director at DH2LABS, which develops various cosmetics, has been researching and considering the ingredients of sunscreen, the necessity of UV protection, and proper usage. Based on this expertise, she went beyond simply saying 'you should apply sunscreen' and guided viewers through a process of checking how well they actually apply it.

Checking sunscreen gaps with a UV camera: During the filming, a UV camera was used to see how evenly sunscreen was applied to the skin. Even on skin that was thought to be thoroughly covered, areas where sunscreen had not sufficiently reached were found. This demonstrated that even with the same sunscreen, the actual UV protection effect can vary depending on how it is applied. The segment also explained the amount of sunscreen to use. Since the SPF and PA ratings on sunscreen are measured when a standard amount is applied, using the right amount is important to achieve sufficient protection. However, in daily life, people often apply less than the recommended amount, so it was emphasized that how much you apply and whether you reapply at appropriate intervals are just as important as the product's protection rating.

Delivering accurate skin information to more people: Because skin-related information is easily accessible in daily life, various information is shared quickly. However, once incorrect information is spread, it can be repeated for a long time, making it crucial to share skin information based on accurate evidence. Heal House not only provides treatment in the clinic but also actively participates in medical information consulting through broadcasts and media, striving to deliver accurate skin information to more people. We will continue to provide easy-to-understand skin information that can be applied in daily life, based on the precise medical knowledge and clinical experience of our specialists.
