Dr. Jung Min Bae was invited to the World Vitiligo Society (VIPOC) online conference and gave a lecture on the surgical treatment of vitiligo.
Due to the time difference, this event took place from late night to early morning in Korean time, and was attended by dermatologists and vitiligo specialists from several countries. Director Bae introduced the principles of vitiligo surgery and the actual application process, based on surgical experience and research results accumulated in clinical practice.
In the lecture, he specifically explained the criteria for selecting surgical candidates based on the patient's lesion condition, the process of harvesting and transplanting skin tissue, and the factors to consider when evaluating post-treatment progress. He also shared how surgical methods have been developed to complement the limitations of existing treatments.
Professor Hamzavi, who led the event, highly praised Dr. Bae's continuous research and new surgical attempts, and even conveyed the impressive expression "Bae Innovation Machine".
A new treatment method is not completed with just one idea. It requires a process of continuously observing problems discovered in the clinic, going through research and verification, and then reflecting them back into patient treatment.
