Heal House has published a book, "Healing Vitiligo", that covers everything from the causes and diagnosis of vitiligo to phototherapy, excimer laser, medication, surgery, and daily management in a single volume.
A single volume covering everything from the causes and diagnosis of vitiligo to treatment, surgery, and daily management, conveying experience accumulated in research and clinical practice from the patient’s perspective.
When you first encounter vitiligo, you may feel uncertain about what to check and what treatment to receive. Although there is a vast amount of information on the internet, it is not easy to decide which information to trust.
Heal House has published the book "Healing Vitiligo" to help patients with vitiligo understand their skin more accurately and prepare for treatment.
The book covers a wide range of topics, from the causes and types of vitiligo and how it differs from other hypopigmented conditions, to phototherapy, excimer laser, medication, and surgical treatment. Rather than simply listing treatment methods, it explains step by step which approaches may be considered for which patients and what to look for during the treatment process.
The research and clinical experience that Director Jung Min Bae has accumulated at a university hospital and in clinical practice are also compiled. The principles and application process of vitiligo surgery, including micro-punch grafting, as well as useful information to know before and after treatment, are explained in language that patients can easily understand.
In addition to treatments, the book covers topics that patients often wonder about in daily life, such as sun protection, skincare, and precautions in everyday activities. Our goal was to create a guide that helps patients understand their current condition and discuss treatment directions with their dermatologist, so that vitiligo is not overly feared and the right treatment time is not missed due to incorrect information.
A single book cannot provide the same answer to every patient. However, we hope that "Healing Vitiligo" will serve as a reliable guide to reduce information confusion and help you find the treatment you need.
