Dr. Jung Min Bae Participates in International Vitiligo Treatment Guideline Meeting
During the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Fall Congress, Director Jung Min Bae participated as a Korean expert in the international vitiligo treatment guideline meeting. It was a late-night video conference where 28 experts from around the world reviewed the application criteria for phototherapy and topical/systemic treatments.
Participated as a Korean representative in the EADV international treatment guideline video conference, which brought together only 28 vitiligo experts from around the world.
The video conference began at 1 a.m. Korean time. Dr. Jung Min Bae participated as a Korean expert in the International Vitiligo Treatment Guideline Meeting held during the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) 2021 Fall Congress. Twenty-eight experts from around the world who have researched and treated vitiligo were invited.
During the meeting, which lasted until 3 AM, the application criteria for various treatments including phototherapy, topical therapy, and systemic therapy were reviewed one by one. They also discussed how to set treatment directions according to the patient's condition and what further research is needed.
Although medical environments and available treatments differ by country, the process of reviewing accumulated evidence and establishing common standards serves as a very important foundation for delivering consistent and appropriate treatment to more patients.
