In this lecture, we reviewed the overall trends in dermatology private practice, and discussed the objective attitude needed when interacting with patients in the clinical setting and the importance of continuous academic research. This session was a calm reflection on the role of a dermatologist in preparing for the various situations you will encounter in the exam room, in order to provide reliable and appropriate treatment.
Though it was a session about career choices, the discussion lingered longest not on technique but on attitude. After all, regardless of which specialty one chooses, that question ultimately remains. The words offered to the juniors also became a time to reexamine Heal House's own clinical practice.
