Big data analysis of the prevalence and prognosis of pyoderma gangrenosum, a rare inflammatory skin disease, published in the dermatology journal of the American Medical Association
Through this study using the National Health Insurance database, statistical significance was confirmed that 3,386 patients who experienced pyoderma gangrenosum had about twice the risk of death compared to the general population. This objectively presents that chronic inflammatory reactions appearing on the skin may be closely related to overall health.
This was an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of a broad perspective that considers not only skin problems visible on the surface but also underlying internal diseases of the body. Going forward, we will continue to provide safer and more systematic treatment directions for those who visit our clinic, based on ongoing clinical research and objective data.
