Dr. Jung Min Bae Contributes to Vitiligo Laser Guideline Development
Dr. Jung Min Bae of Heal House, together with 18 vitiligo specialists from 12 countries, established safety standards for laser and IPL procedures in vitiligo patients and published them in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD).

Even routine IPL or laser treatments can trigger or worsen symptoms in people with vitiligo. That is why many of you may have hesitated to undergo even necessary cosmetic procedures. Dr. Jung Min Bae participated in a study that developed criteria to help ease that hesitation.
Eighteen vitiligo specialists from 12 countries, including Dr. Bae, gathered together. What they compiled were criteria on when and under what conditions it may be safe to try laser and IPL. They took the time to examine each factor, including the type of device, the individual's skin type, and how stable the symptoms are. The resulting discussion was published in the August issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD).
