Presenting UV therapy for various conditions from atopic dermatitis to psoriasis and vitiligo, sharing practical experience steadily built up in the treatment room
As treatment methods for various skin diseases are rapidly advancing these days, Director Jung Min Bae joined this meaningful occasion to share standards for safer and more effective treatment.
Director Bae attended the 22nd Daekyung Phototherapy Academic Conference as a speaker and took the time to share the principles of UV therapy used to treat atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and vitiligo, along with real clinical experience, with fellow dermatologists.
UV therapy is widely used for many skin conditions, but even for the same disease, the light intensity and treatment interval must be carefully adjusted according to the patient's skin condition, extent of lesions, and treatment response. Based on these fundamental treatment principles, Director Bae clearly explained the practical experience accumulated through daily patient consultations and the factors to consider during treatment.
Furthermore, a video lecture covering the entire process of micro-punch grafting used to treat vitiligo was also presented that day. From selecting the surgical site to harvesting and transplanting skin tissue, the treatment process refined through long clinical experience was shared, and in-depth opinions were exchanged with the attending dermatologists.
When dermatologists share their experience at an academic conference, it is not merely about publicizing individual treatment know-how. We believe this is a meaningful process that allows the concerns and experience accumulated in one clinic to be passed on to more dermatologists, ultimately leading to safer and better treatments.
Going forward, we will continue sharing clinical experience and scientific evidence to establish proper treatment standards, so that people struggling with skin conditions can regain a more comfortable daily life.
