Warm Companionship — Received the Suwon Special City Mayor's Commendation
Heal House Suwon Branch received a commendation from the Mayor of Suwon Special City for its youth medical support activities. Since 2023, together with the Suwon City and Gyeonggi Province Youth Counseling and Welfare Centers, it has been providing treatment support for young people struggling with tattoos and self-harm scars, and Director Kim Soohyung attended the award ceremony.
Adolescents who had to endure cold stares due to tattoos and self-harm scars: delivering hope through free procedure support continued with Suwon City
In the middle of the cold winter, heartwarming news has arrived at Heal House Suwon Branch. Thanks to the meaningful recognition of our ongoing medical support activities for youth in need, we received a commendation from the Mayor of Suwon Special City. Representing the clinic, Director Kim Soohyung attended this honorable occasion.
Since 2023, Heal House has been providing medical support for treating tattoos and scars that remind of the past, in cooperation with the Suwon City and Gyeonggi Province Youth Counseling & Welfare Center.
Scars left on the skin often do not easily fade even with time. For young people, these marks go beyond simple skin concerns; they can become a moment of hesitation every time they meet new people or walk new paths.
Heal House wanted to go beyond treating skin wounds and be with these young people so that they could envision their future with a more confident heart. This is because we believe that a small change can be the courage to smile again and a new beginning for someone.
So far, 15 adolescents who have been with Heal House have gradually erased the marks on their skin and taken their own new steps. We sincerely hope that these steps lead to greater confidence and brighten their future lives.
Moving forward, through the 'Love Eraser' project organized by the National Police Agency and collaboration with various welfare organizations, we will continue our warm companionship so that hope rather than scars, and bright smiles rather than worries, bloom first wherever Heal House reaches.
