Interview in the February 2026 issue of Monthly Interview: Heal House's treatment philosophy conveyed through facial shape diagnosis and "small, elegant, bright"
An interview with Dr. Hanmi Jung, lead doctor of Heal House Gangnam Branch, was published in the February 2026 issue of Monthly Interview. Under the title “Redefining the Standard for Viewing Skin, Reordering the Sequence of Care,” the interview presents her treatment philosophy of reading the facial shape, understanding the direction in which the skin has changed, and then designing a personalized sequence.
In the interview, Dr. Jung explained that rather than deciding on a procedure based only on visible symptoms, one should first examine why the current condition developed. She emphasized that even for the same degree of skin sagging, the necessary approach differs depending on whether the surface elasticity has decreased, whether changes in the fat layer beneath the skin have contributed, or whether the retaining ligaments that support the facial structure have weakened. She added that this is why Heal House classifies facial shapes into five types and begins care by identifying the direction in which each face changes over time.
This judgment that distinguishes causes leads to the criteria of “Small, Elegant, Glowing Face — Small, Elegant, Glowing,” which were refined from long clinical experience. Rather than referring to a specific procedure or a single outcome, these criteria have been established as a standard that first asks how natural a result is for that individual and how long that state can be maintained. This framework then leads to a detailed explanation of the procedures.
"Smallness" is not simply about reducing the size of the face but about refining unnecessary volume to sharpen the impression. Dr. Jung said that Heal House's signature treatment, The L, is used for this purpose. "Elegance" involves restoring the broken curves of the face, using collagen-stimulating agents such as Sculptra only as needed to achieve a state where what was done is not apparent, yet the overall impression is comfortably refined. Finally, "brightness" starts not from the contour but from the condition of the skin itself. She emphasized once again that the skin texture, tone, and moisture must be restored for structural changes to appear natural.
Furthermore, she explained that rather than addressing the face and skin with a single procedure, the approach involves examining the elements of remodeling, tightening, perfecting, contouring, volumizing, whitening, and boosting, and then combining the most needed parts first. The interview presented "small, elegant, bright" as a standard for not only what to choose but also the order of approach and where to stop.
The interview also conveyed Heal House's four core values—excellence, warmth, trust, and dedication—and the direction of the YouTube channel "pibutenten." Judging based on clinical experience and evidence, explaining thoroughly, avoiding unnecessary choices, and monitoring the progress after treatment. Heal House will continue to provide explainable care by examining the time the face and skin have gone through, ahead of trends or speed.
