Skin Booster REJURAN® JUVELOOK

There are so many types of Skin Boosters—how should I choose?

A Skin Booster is not a product name; you should first decide your top priority among four goals—hydration, regeneration, volume, and anti-inflammation—and then choose based on the ingredient family and injection layer that match that goal.

When Choosing a Booster, Should I Look at Ingredients First or the Layer It Targets?

Ingredients and layers cannot be considered separately; because the ingredient determines the layer it should be injected into, the correct approach is to consider both together. Ingredients that retain moisture, like hyaluronic acid, need to be evenly spread in the superficial dermis to be effective, while ingredients that stimulate collagen production need to activate fibroblasts in the relatively deeper dermal layer to do their job. In other words, "what to inject" and "where to inject" are a set.

However, if you must set an order, a reasonable flow is to first define your skin concern (goal), then find the ingredient family that matches it, and finally confirm the injection technique to ensure the ingredient is delivered precisely to its target layer. Even with the same ingredient, if the layer is off, the effect may diminish or the surface may become uneven, so the practitioner's skill influences the outcome as much as the ingredient choice.

How Do I Decide Whether My Goal Is Hydration, Regeneration, Volume, or Anti-Inflammation?

It is advisable to base your decision on what change bothers you most when you look in the mirror, and when that change started. If tightness and flakiness are your main concerns, focus on hydration; if enlarged pores, fine lines, or loss of elasticity are visible, focus on regeneration; if you feel hollowing and volume loss, focus on collagen induction (volume); and if redness and sensitivity recur, focus on soothing and anti-inflammation.

In reality, it is rare to have only one concern; often, dehydration and loss of elasticity occur together. Therefore, in the clinic, we recommend setting priorities, addressing the primary goal first, and supplementing the rest with additional sessions or combinations.

Why Shouldn’t I Just Follow Trending Products?

Because a trendy product is merely a "well-known product," not a guarantee that it suits your skin. Skin Boosters differ in their mechanism of action and target layer depending on the ingredient family, so the suitable product varies according to whether your skin is oily or dry, skin thickness, the presence of pigmentation or redness, and your previous treatment history. A product that looked good on social media may have little effect on your skin or may even be unsuitable.

Another issue is expectations. Trendy content tends to emphasize dramatic changes, but Skin Boosters are mostly procedures that improve gradually over three sessions at four-week intervals, and results vary by individual. Rather than deciding on a product name before visiting, it is more efficient in both time and cost to have your skin condition diagnosed and then choose the appropriate family accordingly.

Are There Combination Lineups of Multiple Boosters?

Yes, if you have more than one goal, it is possible to design a combination of different families, and this is actually often used. For example, skin that lacks moisture and also needs fine line and regeneration treatment can combine a hyaluronic acid family with a PN family (REJURAN®) at different times, and if loss of elasticity is also present, a collagen-inducing family such as JUVELOOK or Sculptra can be added to divide roles by layer.

Heal House has a lineup by ingredient family, including REJURAN®, JUVELOOK, Sculptra, JUVGEN (CO₂+HA autologous collagen induction), Re2O® (hADM human-derived collagen), SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM®, BELOTERO® Revive, and GOURI, so we design treatments by combining products to fit your skin, rather than fitting your skin to a single product. When combining, the interval and order of procedures are important, so it is safer to space out the schedule while observing your skin's response, rather than doing everything at once.

What Should I Ask About During a Consultation?

The key is to ask "Why is a particular family suitable for my skin?" rather than "Is this product good?" Specifically, you should check: first, what your skin diagnosis results are (hydration, elasticity, pigmentation status); second, what ingredient family is recommended and which layer it targets; and third, over how many sessions you can expect what changes.

Additionally, asking about post-procedure downtime and precautions, whether it can be combined with other procedures, and the maintenance interval will give you the full picture. A good sign of a quality consultation is whether the answers are centered on your skin condition and rationale rather than product names, and we recommend that you make your final choice through an in-person consultation with a specialist.
