EMFACE is performed without anesthesia as it involves no needles or incisions; you will feel a warm sensation along with rhythmic contractions of the facial muscles. It may feel more like an unfamiliar sensation than pain, and the intensity can be adjusted to a comfortable level at any time during the treatment.

EMFACE has minimal downtime, so most people can wash their face, apply light makeup, and return to daily activities right after treatment. Occasionally, temporary redness, a feeling of heat, or muscle soreness may persist, but these usually subside within a short time; the degree of response varies by individual.

Since EMFACE is a treatment that works on muscles, if maintenance is stopped, elasticity may gradually decrease over time, so periodic maintenance sessions can be helpful. The duration of results varies greatly depending on age, facial expression habits, and lifestyle, so it is difficult to give a uniform estimate.

For EMFACE, the forehead and cheeks are typically treated in a course of about 4 sessions at 1-week intervals, after which maintenance sessions may be added depending on progress. EMFACE is not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who have internal electronic or metal implants such as pacemakers, or facial implants, due to its use of radiofrequency and electromagnetic stimulation.
