You may feel a brief tingling or warm sensation at the point where the ultrasound is focused. Deeper cartridges tend to produce more sensation. If you are sensitive to pain, a topical anesthetic can be used. If it becomes too uncomfortable, let us know during the procedure.

What is the difference between SHURINK UNIVERSE and Ultherapy PRIME®?

Both are lifting treatments that use focused ultrasound, but the delivery method differs. How many shots should I receive?

There is no fixed number; it depends on which area, at what depth, and how much energy is delivered. At Heal House, a board-certified dermatologist examines your skin and designs the procedure to treat only the necessary areas with the appropriate amount.

I heard that SHURINK can cause hollow cheeks. Is that true?

Focused ultrasound can also affect the fat layer. If the area, depth, or intensity is not appropriate, focal fat reduction (cheek hollowing) may occur. Therefore, if you have little facial fat, the treatment area and depth are carefully determined during the pre-procedure consultation.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

You may feel the tightening effect from tissue contraction immediately after the procedure. The changes from new collagen formation typically appear gradually over 2 to 3 months. The duration of results varies greatly depending on age, skin condition, and lifestyle habits.

Can I apply makeup right after the procedure?

You can resume daily activities and apply makeup immediately after the procedure. However, while redness or swelling persists, use gentle products and apply moisturizer and sunscreen thoroughly.

How SHURINK UNIVERSE works

SHURINK UNIVERSE focuses ultrasound at a single point at a predetermined depth within the skin. The temperature at the focal point rises above 60 degrees Celsius, creating very small thermal coagulation points while passing through surrounding tissue, which reduces damage to the epidermis. The heated tissue immediately contracts and tightens, and the subsequent regenerative response produces new collagen over 2 to 3 months, which tends to improve elasticity and wrinkles.
