RevLite® SI is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that delivers 1064 nm and 532 nm wavelengths to pigment in the skin. The photoacoustic stimulation created by very short pulses selectively breaks melanin pigment particles into small pieces, leaving surrounding tissue relatively intact. The fragmented pigment is gradually eliminated through metabolic processes. Because it uses a toning method that divides the energy into lower-intensity pulses, it evens out skin tone while minimizing irritation.
After RevLite® SI treatment, temporary redness, dryness, and flaking may occur; redness usually subsides within a few hours.
