RADIESSE is a dermal filler that delivers calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) in a gel carrier into the dermis and subcutaneous layer, providing immediate volume upon injection. Over time, the carrier gel is gradually absorbed, and the remaining CaHA microparticles stimulate fibroblasts to produce new collagen, elastin, and proteoglycans. This allows for improvements in not only volume but also skin firmness and texture.
The most common reactions after RADIESSE treatment are swelling and bruising at the injection site, which usually improve within 3–7 days. Recovery time may vary depending on the treatment area and skin characteristics.
Common Symptoms
Swelling, bruising, redness
Rare Symptoms
Nodules (lumps), a feeling of hardness
