I heard POTENZA uses needles — is it very painful?

POTENZA involves needles penetrating the dermis, so we apply numbing cream for at least 30 minutes before the procedure. Most patients describe the sensation as a prickling and warm feeling, but for areas that require deeper penetration or for those who are sensitive to pain, we adjust the energy and depth accordingly.

How long is the downtime for POTENZA? Can I go to work the next day?

On the day of POTENZA treatment, redness and fine pinpoint marks may appear, which usually subside within 2–3 days. Around days 3–5, fine sand-like flaking may occur; please do not forcibly remove it. We recommend washing your face from the next day and applying makeup after 2–3 days.

How long do the results of POTENZA last?

The collagen newly formed by POTENZA is your own tissue, so structural improvements tend to be relatively long-lasting. However, aging continues, so we recommend maintenance treatments every 6–12 months. The duration of results may vary depending on your skin condition and lifestyle habits.

Are there any side effects or cases where POTENZA is not suitable?

After POTENZA treatment, temporary redness, swelling, and fine scabs are the most common side effects, and most subside within a few days. If you are pregnant, have an implanted electronic device such as a pacemaker, have a keloid tendency, or have sensitive skin that easily becomes red and itchy, please consult with us first.

How POTENZA works

POTENZA is a microneedle device that delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy directly to the dermal layer from the tip of fine needles. The micro-channels created by the needles and the RF heat work together, causing stretched collagen to contract, and new collagen and elastin fill in during the recovery process. By adjusting the tip and depth, it minimizes damage to the epidermis and concentrates heat only on the target layer. Enlarged pores, acne scars, redness, and loss of elasticity are gradually refined.
