JUVGEN is a self-dermal regeneration procedure that alternately injects carbon dioxide gas and hyaluronic acid into the dermal layer. The CO2 gas injected first provides a temporary stimulus to the tissue, increasing blood flow and activating fibroblasts, while the subsequently injected hyaluronic acid fills in moisture and volume. As this stimulus is repeated, the production of autologous collagen and elastin is induced, gradually filling in depressed scars and wrinkle areas.
The most common reactions after JUVGEN treatment are mild redness, minor bruising, and swelling at the treated site, which usually fade within 7 to 14 days. Recovery time may vary depending on skin thickness and vascular distribution.
Common Symptoms
Swelling, bruising, redness
Rare Symptoms
Pigmentation, temporary feeling of fullness at the gas injection site
